Six killed, 5 injured in road mishap in Punjab
Gurdaspur, JulY 28 (UNI) Six persons, including three women were killed and five others were injured when the car in which they were travelling collided head-on with a truck on the bridge over the Beas river in Sri Hargobindpur town in the district this morning, police sources here said.
According to the police the mishap took place when the car waa overtaking another vehicle and it rammed into the truck coming from the opposite direction. The injured were rushed to the civil hospital at Sri Hargobindpur.
The deceased, all of whom were in the car were identified as Sadh Singh, Jaspal Singh, Chanan Kaur, Hans Kaur and Amar Kaur, all of Bharth village and Chanan Singh of Vidhwan village. The police has registered a case against the truck driver.
