Bhopal, Jul 28 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government today decided to withdraw cases of forest crime of designated categories and encroachment by Scheduled Tribes families, official sources said.
A Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here, also took decisions regarding a new policy for construction of prisons and an amendment to the Udyog Mitra Yojana.
About 1.74 lakh families would be benefitted by the decision to withdraw cases of forest crime.
Industrial units and title deed-holders who obtained the deeds either for expanding existing units or for setting up export units would be exempt from the Udyog Mitra Scheme's benefits.
The prisons policy includes redensification of the Indore Jail.
