Jagriti Yatra to reach Hyderabad tomorrow
Hyderabad, Jul 28: ''Guru Manyo Granth Jagriti Yatra'', an all India journey to celebrate and commemorate the 300 years (tercentenary) of the installation (consecration) of Sri Guru Granth Sahibji (Guruta Gaddi Diwas) and Parlokgaman (heavenly abode) of tenth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh, would to arrive here on Tuesday, July 29.
The yatra would give the Sikh Sangat and other community members an opportunity to see, for the first time in the Sikh history, rare weapons (Shastras) and other historical articles of the tenth Sikh Guru and other Sikh martyrs out of the sanctum sanctorum of Hazur Sahib.
Addressing mediapersons here, Reception Committee Chairman S Gurucharan Singh Bagga said the yatra, aims at spreading the message of equality of mankind and secularism, which was ''receiving unprecedented response.
The Jagriti Yatra will be welcomed in grand manner by the Twin Cities Sangat at Choutuppal in Nalgonda District on Tuesday, July 29. From there, it will proceed to Gurudwara Saheb in Autonagar in the evening and to Gurudwara Sahib Asasingh Bagh and Gurudwara Sahib Sikh Chawni, Barambala, Kishanbagh for night halt, a press release said on Sunday, July 27.
