Precious metals recover: Bombay Bullion Assn
Mumbai, Jul 28: Both the precious metals slightly recovered, with silver improving by Rs 45 per kg to open at Rs 24,870, while gold by Rs 25 per ten gm to open at Rs 12,730, on fresh demand from jewellery makers in view of bullish global trend, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.
In international market gold rose to USD 928.00/929.00 an ounce from USD 927.40/929.40, while silver edged up to USD 17.38/17.43 an ounce from USD 17.35/17.43 late in New York. Both white and yellow metals improved, following steady oil prices, traders said. Following were the opening domestic spot rates: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade: Rs 24,870 Gold (per 10 gm): 99.5 purity standard mint: Rs 12,730 99.9 purity pure gold: Rs 12,790.
