Hyderabad, Jul 27 (UNI) Accusing the UPA of being responsible for 'continuous terror strikes since coming to power in the country as it failed to bring a stringent law in place of the repealed POTA, BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu today said, now, terrorists can strike at any place, any time at their will.
Speaking to newsmen here, Mr Naidu said ''there is a deep-rooted conspiracy by terrorist organisations to destabilise the country by resorting to violence.
''As many as 24 major bomb blast incidents had taken place in the country since 2004. All most all states have been affected by terrorist activities,'' he said.
''The reason behind present situtaion is the Centre adopted vote bank politics with a soft corner for terrorism,'' Mr Venkaiah added.
Stating the State Governments alone can not deal with the terrorism, Mr Naidu said, 'the terrorism is not a simple law and order problem. It should be tackled with the coordiation of both the Central and State Governments.
''The time has come to conduct door-to-door survey to flush out anti-national elements and distribute Indian citizen identity cards to everyone,'' he observed.
