Patna, Jul 27 (UNI) The BJP today branded the serial blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad as an outcome of the UPA governments 'soft' stand towards disruptive forces.
''It seems with the serial attacks the terrorists have celebrated the so called victory(July 22 confidence motion) of the UPA in Parliament,'' BJP national General Secretary Kiran Ghai told UNI here.
Reacting to the attacks which claimed several lives, Ms Ghai said tackling the menace was the ultimate duty of the Centre from which it could not shy away.
She alleged that terrorists in fact got a life-line with the survival of the UPA at the Centre which, since beginning, was maintaining a soft stand towards them.
''Terrorist attacks have increased under the present regime. The UPA government gave a green signal to the disruptive forces by repealing POTA, a stern law, framed by the previous NDA government to control such forces in the country,'' she maintained.
The insurgents, earlier active only in Jammu and Kashmir, have now expanded their tentacles beyond the state, she said.
''The common people will either succumb due to soaring prices or become target of the terrorists, as the entire nation is their target,'' she said.
Ms Ghai said since the NDA ruled states were acting tough against the disruptive forces, they were on the hit-list of such forces. She appealed to the people to remain calm and be cautious. The divisive forces, she said, were unable to tolerate BJP's victory in recent assembly elections and were targetting them.
