Nakhabino, Russia, Jul 27 (UNI) Shiv Kapur fired one under 71 in the final round to finish a disappointing tied 23rd at the Inteco Russian Open here today.
Kapur (67, 70, 69 and 71) ended the tournament with a total of 11 under 277.
The Delhi golfer started on a sour note, hitting a bogey on the third. However, he staged a fine comeback, firing birdies on the fifth, sixth, eighth and ninth.
But Kapur then hit a rough patch, making bogeys on the on the 10th, 12th and 16th.
Mikael Lundberg of Sweden scored four-under-par 68 in the final round to emerge champion. Lundberg, who totalled 21-under 267, beat Spain's Jose Manuel Lara by two strokes.
Britain's Benn Barham finished third, another stroke back after carding a 68.
