Security tightened at Nedumbassery Airport in Kerala
Kochi, Jul 27 (UNI) Security has been tightened at the Nedumbassery International Airport near here, in the wake of terrorist threat today.
Airport Director A C K Nair told UNI that though there was no specific information from authorities concerned about the threat, the security was tightened.
A security review meeting was held last evening after the serial blasts at Bangalore and Ahmedabad, in which it was decided to ban visitors' entry into the airport for two days, Mr Nair said.
All passengers would be closely watched and their baggage and cargo thoroughly checked.
Besides, the CISF and police, with the help of dog squad, would be checking all vehicles coming into the airport premises, he added.
