Rs 11 crore for various water supply schenes in central Kashmir
Srinagar, July 27 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government is spending Rs 10.75 crore on various water supply schemes in the Ganderbal district of central Kashmir under swajaldhara and Pilot Project during the current fiscal year, an official spokesman said today.
He said that upto June 2008, Rs 2.79 crore has been spent on these schemes which on completion would provide drinking water facilities to people of 36 villages of the district.
He said Barsoo, Shalpura and Shuhama water supply schemes coming up at Rs. 1.86 crore and Rs 1.46 crore respectively would be commissioned by this August.
Current year's special Central Assistance to Tribal Sub-Plan for Anantnag district has been fixed at Rs 1.27 crore.
