Ahmedabad, Jul 27: In a signifying development in the Ahmedabad serial blasts case, a man has come forward and claimed that he has seen the probable culprit. The eye witness claimed that he heard the man speaking on his mobile phone just before the blasts. He was saying that Bangalore's mistakes won't be repeated. 'We would not fail here,' the man said.
The eye witness has said that he had seen and heard this man while he was visiting the Ahmedabad Civil Hospital at around 4 O'clock in the evening. The witness was standing before a medical store when he overheard the man. He said that initially he did not take the words seriously but later on when he heard about the blasts he was able to put the facts together and got in touch with the police in the morning. The witness helped police to develop the sketch of the person.
The probable age of the person was around 30-35 years. He was clean shaven, fair and well dressed, the witness has informed. The man was wearing a pink coloured shirt and looked decent.
Meanwhile, toll climbed to 46 in the serial blasts that ripped the city of Ahmedabad on Saturday, July 26 evening. Terror struck Ahmedabad when 16 coordinated serial blasts rocked the city on Saturday evening killing 30 people and injuring over 100 sending a wave of panic, a day after serial blasts rocked Bangalore in another BJP-ruled Karnataka. Initial investigations suggest that Ammonium Nitrate was used in the blasts. The investigators are also probing the use of cylinders.
