Indore, Jul 27: Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat borders have been sealed as a precautionary measure after serial bomb blasts rocked Ahmedabad yesterday, police said on Sunday, July 27.
They said the state has alreadly been on high alert after the Friday's series bomb blasts in Bangalore. 'The Gujarat and Indore division's borders were sealed and besides intensive combing operations in crowdy quartiers of this division, special check drives were also being carried out,'' Inspector General Anil Kumar told UNI. Police patrolling and check drives have been intensified in all the hotels, markets and crowdy areas of all the towns of this division. The dog squad of police was also being used, he added.
Many Students Islamic Movement of India activists were arrested and terrorist organisations threatened several times.
