Is Kerala the next terror target?
{image-kerala map_27072008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Bangalore, Jul 27: After the serial blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad, the state of Kerala received a blast threat. A television channel in Bangalore received a call from Pakistan saying their next target is Kerala.
The call came at 8.19 pm on Saturday, July 26, night from the number 0991118809. The details of the call have been passed to Karnataka and the Kerala Police. Home Minister of Kerala Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has directed the police to collect the details of the call. Security has been beefed up at the railways stations and bus stands following the blasts. The minister has directed to check all the vehicles entering the state. The Director General of Police has convened a high-level meeting to review the security arrangments in the state.
Since the Friday, July 25, bomb blasts in Bangalore, the state police have been conducting inspections at hotels and lodges and have asked them to inform the police of the nature of the guests who come to take rooms. The sensitive places in Kerala include Kozhikode, which has a previous history of bomb blasts
