Rahul applauds girl of minor community for patriotism
Hyderabad, Jul 26 (UNI) All India Congress Committee General Secretary Rahul Gandhi today applauded girl student of a minor community, who saw nothing in the deal that was against the minorities.
''We are Indians first. There is nothing in the deal against minorities,'' she said.
Responding to her assertion, a large number of students, at a meeting organised by the National Students Union of India, stood up and applauded her.
Moved by the girl's patriotism, Mr Gandhi thumped the desk and asserted that the deal was about nuclear energy, development and poor people of India. It is about India's progress and nothing about religion''.
Mr Gandhi was amazed as only two out of the 2000 students said they were opposed to the deal.
None of the students raised their hands when he asked if any of them believed that any other force could determine the future of the country.
