Hokkaido, Japan, Jul 26 (UNI) Jeev Milkha Singh carded a brilliant four-under 68 and jumed 19 places to be tied 4th place at the end of the third round of the Nagashima Shigeo Invitational Sega Sammy Cup here today.
Jeev was at the fourth place in first round and then slipped to 24th in the next and he is now back at fourth.
The Indian had five birdies and a late bogey on the 17th during his round that places him four shots behind the leader, Sushi Ishigaki (69).
Ishuigaki was three shots clear of the Dinesh Chand (69) of Fiji and Japan's Koumei Oda (69).
Jeev had birdied the second and the third, the latter with a chip-in. He added a third birdie on the eighth to turn in three-under.
Playing the second tournament in Japan this year, Jeev added two more birdies on back nine, on the 11th and 16th, at which point he was five-under for the day for tied second.
However, a late bogey on the 17th with a disappointing three-putt saw him drop back.
Jeev is sharing the fourth place with Michio Matsumara (68), Ryoken Kawagishi (71) and Nobuhito Sato (70) all Japanese.
