Centre condemns Ahmedabad bomb blasts
New Delhi, Jul 26 (UNI) The Centre today condemned the serial bomb blasts in Ahmedabad, which claimed two lives, and has assured all possible assistance to the State government in investigation.
The Union Home Ministry was in constant touch with the Gujarat police, the State Chief Secretary and State administration, seeking details of the blasts, Union Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta told reporters here.
Mr Gupta spoke to the Chief Secretary of Gujarat and DGP seeking a detailed report about the blasts.
He said all possible assistance would be rendered to the State government in investigation and apprehending those responsible for the blasts.
The blasts occurred at five places-- Maninagar, Narol, Isanpur, Sarangpur and Thakkarbapunagar-- in the city.
