BJP seeks probe against Amar Singh, Ahmed Patel
Chandigarh, Jul 26 (UNI) The BJP today demanded formation of privilege committees of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha to probe into allegations of bribing three BJP MPs against Samajwadi leaders Amar Singh, Revati Raman and Congress leader Ahmed Patel.
Talking to reporters here, Senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj demanded formation of a privilege committee in Lok Sabha to take action against SP MP Revati Raman for giving Rs one crore as advance payment of a total of Rs nine crore to BJP MPs Ashok Argal, Fangan Singh Kulaste and Mahavir Bhagora for abstaining from the trust vote.
She also demanded constitution of a similar committee in Rajya Sabha to take action against Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh and Congress MP Ahmed Patel on whose behalf the bribe money was allegedly paid.
Ms Swaraj said the three BJP MPs who were bribed had already submitted a writeen complaint to Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee in this regard.
