Lahore, Jul 26 (UNI) Flamboyant Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi is likely to miss the quadrangular T20 tournament scheduled to be held in Toronto, Canada from August 14-17.
The hard hitting batsman, who is Suffering from a wrist problem, is currently awaiting an MRI report on his injury.
''We will consider Afridi for the tournament in Canada but only if he is fully fit,'' chief selector Salahuddin Ahmed said today.
The 28-year-old Afridi has scored 5479 runs from 265 One-day Internationals and also grabed 239 wickets.
However, Afridi's current form is not up to the mark and he has been going through a lean patch. His last one-day fifty came against Zimbabwe earlier this year and since then in his last 13 innings he has not got a half century although he has been bowling steadily well.
His performance in the cash-rich Indian Premier League was also disappointing as he has scored only 81-runs in the 10 matches he played for the franchise Deccan Chargers.
