Kolhapur, July 26 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national general secretary Veer Singh today alleged that the BJP senior leader L K Advani and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar played dirty politics during the trust vote of UPA government, held on July 22, and deprived BSP chief Mayawati of prime ministership.
Mr Singh, who is also BSP MP, was speaking at a function organised here to mark the birth anniversary of great social reformer and erstwhile ruler of the princely state of Kolhapur Rajarishi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj.
He said Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar always dreamt that a Dalit leader should become Prime Minister of the country and expressed hope that his dream will be fulfilled by BSP in the coming Lok Sabha elections.
He also lauded the works done by Rajarishi Shahu for backward class people before independence.
