Hyderabad, Jul 25 (UNI) Terming as ''blatant lie'' the Centre's third affidavit in Supreme Court that Lord Ram himself broke the Ram Setu, which he had built, Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP) International Secretary General Pravin Togadia today warned of a massive nationwide agitation if the centre did not alter its stand respecting the sentiments of Hindus in the country.

After ensuring that the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, a UPA constituent, voted for the Government in the trust vote, the Manmohan Singh Government had filed the affidavit in the Supreme Court to ''please'' DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, he alleged at a press conference here.

''UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi cannot continue in power after the next elections if the Centre hurts Hindu's faith,'' he charged, accusing the Centre of filing contradictory affidavits not just to the media but to the apex court itself.

He demanded that the Centre withdraw its ''objectionable'' stand by next Tuesday or be prepared to ''face the wrath'' of the Hindus.

Questioning the affidavit filed by the Centre based on references in the Tamil version of Ramayan written by Kambar and the Padma Puran, he claimed that Valmiki's Ramayan, which was more ancient and more authentic, made no such mention.

Making it clear that the VHP was not against the construction of the Sethusamudram project, he said it had suggested alternative routes without disturbing the Ram Setu.
