TRS seeks disqualification of defiant MP
New Delhi, Jul 25 (UNI) The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) has written to Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee to disqualify Mr A Narendra, the MP from Medak for violating the party whip in the July 22 confidence vote.
The TRS had issued whip to its four members to vote against the trust vote moved by UPA but Mr Narendra, the suspended TRS MP, chose to go along with the Congress while the three TRS MPs including TRS Chief K Chandrasekhara Rao voted against the confidence vote.
TRS chief Whip Vinod Kumar quoting the 1996 Supreme Court order said that all MPs including the suspended MPs are bound by the three line whip issued by the party and if there was any violation, they were bound to be disqualified by the Speaker.
