Serial bomb blasts revisit K'taka after eight years
Bangalore, Jul 25 (UNI) Today's serial low intensity bomb blasts in the city that sent shockwave across the IT capital, is the second such incident in the state since 2000 in Karnataka.
That incident was however occurred with blasts triggered across th Southern states of Andhra Pradesh, Goa besides Karnataka when several churches were targetted with similar low intensity explosives eight years ago.
In July that year serial bombs went off near churches at Jagajivannagar in the city, Yadagir in Gulbarga district, in Goa and Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh.
The police who have cracked the conspiracy behind these blasts had arrested the members of the Hyderabad based radical Deendar Group and trial is still in progress. This had led to the Union government banning the organisation.
