Police to be blamed for intelligence failure: Kharge
Bangalore, Jul 25 (UNI) Condemning the serial bomb blasts in the IT Capital, which claimed the life of one person, besides injuring seven others, the opposition Congress in Karnataka blamed the state police for its failure in preventing terror crimes.
Speaking to newspersons after meeting Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur, KPCC president and Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Mallikarjuna Kharge said the state police had completely failed in its duty of preventing such incidents.
The intelligence wing of the state police was plagued with severe shortcomings in anticipating such incidents and it needed to be strengthened, he said.
A Congress delegation requested the Governor to issue directions to the State government to set right the shortcomings prevailing in the state intelligence wing immediately.
