Bangalore, Jul 25(UNI) Condemning the incident of serial bomb blasts in the IT Capital which had claimed the life of one person besides injuring seven others, Congress in Karantaka has blamed the failure of the state police in preventing terror crimes.
Speaking to newsmen after meeting the Karantaka Governor Rameshwar Thakur, KPCC President and Opposition leader in the Assembly Mallikarjuna Kharge said the state police had 'completely' failed in its duties in preventing such incidents.
Charging that the Intelligence wing of the state police was plagued with severe shortcomings in anticipating such incidents and it needed to be strengthened, he said.
A Congress delegation requested the Governor to issue directions to the state government to set right the shortcomings prevailing in the state intelligence wing immediately.
