PG courses to be introduced in Bihar medical colleges
Patna, Jul 25(UNI) Health Minister Nand Kishore Yadav today informed the state legislative council that the Bihar government was committed to introducing Post Graduate(PG) courses in all medical colleges of the state.
Replying to a call attention of a member Sanjay Kumar in the upper House, Mr Yadav said the state government had taken steps to start PG courses in all medical colleges of Bihar.
Additional posts to start teaching in some medical colleges had already been created while it was under process in other medical colleges, he added.
'' We will file application to Medical Council of India(MCI) in January next seeking permission to start PG courses in all medical colleges of the state,'' Mr Yadav informed.
Health Minister assured the House that the state government would take steps for opening Cardiology, Nephrology and Neuro Surgery departments in Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College, Bhagalpur soon.
