Bangalore, July 25 (UNI) Following is the summary of observations recorded in weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Monsoon was active over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at many places over North Interior Karnataka.

Kollur recorded very heavy rainfall of 13 cm. Heavy Rainfall amounts (cm): Udupi, Bhatkal 11 each, Shirali, Agumbe 10 each, Kota, Karkala, Siddapura 9 each, Kundapur, Gerusoppa, Kumta, Honavar, Karwar 8 each, Panambur, Bajpe, Dharmasthala, Mudibidre, Mulki, Ankola 7 each.

Other Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Humchadakatte, Hosanagar, Kottigehara 6 each, Mani, Mangalore, Bantwal, Belthangadi, Sringeri, Jayapura 5 each, Subramanya, Kadra, Munirabad, Bhagamandala, Madikeri, Thirthahalli, Bhadravathi, Kammardi, Mudigere, Sakleshpura, Koratagere 4 each Siddapura, Banavasi, Sirsi, Joida, Soundatti, Alland, Gulbarga Raichur, Linganamakki, Tyagarthi, Arasalu, Balehonnur, Hessarghatta, Hospet, C N Halli 3 each.

Forecast valid until Sunday morning: Rain/ thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at many places over Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to rather heavy rain likely to occur at most places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and over Kodagu, Chikmagalur, Shimoga and Hassan districts of South Interior Karnataka. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at many places over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka and remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall Warning: Very heavy to heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places over the Coastal Karnataka and ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka during next 48 hours.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Generally cloudy. One or two spells of rain/thundershowers likely.
