KVIB to promote traditional industries in J and K

Srinagar, Jul 25 (UNI) To further boost the rural industrialization, particuarly the traditional industries, in the Jammu and Kashmir, the Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) has decided to provide all assiStance, including financial credit bank loan.

An official spokesman said today that this information was give at a one-day workshop organized at Kanipora in Kulgam district of south Kashmir.

The workshop was to create awareness about various schemes being implemented by the Board.

The speakers highlighted the role of the Board in extension of rural industrialization and also the initiatives of the unit holders in the promotion of traditional industries in the area.

It was told that Board would provide all assistance including financial credit bank loan, and training to the entrepreneurs.

Besides, bank loan up to Rs 26 lakh would also be provided for setting up a sustainable project in the area.
