Govt to allot one acre land for APIC buidling
Hyderabad, July 25 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy has agreed to allot one acre land worth Rs 20 crore in Gachibowli towards matching grant from the state government to construct an office for the Andhra Pradesh Information Commissioner (APIC).
Reviewing the implementation of the Right to Information Act 2005 in the state, he urged the APIC to take steps to get the Rs 7.5 crore released from the Centre for the construction of the office.
Chief Information Commissioner C D Arha informed the Chief Minister that during the past two years, an average 97 per cent appeals and complaints had been disposed off. Training was imparted to about 30,000 Public Information Officers and Appellate Authorities.
