Daughter urges President to rescue mother from kidnappers

Kendrapada, Jul 25 (UNI) She knew only President Pratibha Patil could help rescue her mother from the clutches of the kidnappers.

Police said, Aliva Rout, a ten-year old girl, the daughter of Giridhari Rout, studying in class IV at Haven Garden Multipurpose School at Pattamundai, wrote a letter to the President alleging that one Rashmi Ranjan Routray, a resident of Sanlatasundarpur under Pattamundai police station, had kidnapped her mother Deepanjali Rout on June 30.

She appealed to the President after the police failed to rescue her mother from the clutches of the kidnappers even after one year.

The Additional Inspector General of Police has directed the SP of Kendrapara to look into the matter and to take necessary action in this regard.

The matter was brought to the notice of Pattamundai police but they have failed to rescue the mother Aliva said the kidnapper, who is working as Equipment Assistant Logistic Section Wing No-17 in Air Force station at Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, has kept her mother at his service place.

The girl had also brought the notice of the authority of Air Force Commandant Wing No-17 but the authority is yet to take any steps against the kidnapper.
