City court adjourns bail plea in BJP MP attack case to July 28
New Delhi, Jul 25 (UNI) A city court today heard bail applications of 29 alleged BJP supporters charged with unlawful assembly and attacking the office of party MP Chandrabhan Singh and adjourned the case till July 28.
A case under IPC sections 147, 148, 149, 427, 440, 448, 451 and 506 was registered at Parliament Street Police Station and the supporters arrested on July 24 were produced before Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ajay Kumar Kuhar.
The defence counsel contended that all the accused were returning from the BJP party office and were not involved in the alleged attack while the driver of the vehicle in which they were travelling is a heart patient and has been arrested as well.
After hearing the arguments the court ordered to release the driver on furnishing a surety bond and adjourned the matter for next hearing on July 28.
