Hyderabad, Jul 25 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K Jana Reddy today said red alert was sounded in all cities and districts and security was beefed up at all holy places and public areas following the serial blasts in Bangalore city.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr Reddy said the checking and frisking operations were intensified in sensitive areas to prevent any untoward incidents. Special teams and mobile police forces were deployed at strategic places, too, he added.
Stating that there was no threat here, as per the information received from the Intelligence agencies, he said the state police would cooperate with their Karnataka counterparts in probing the blasts, if required. .
The special police teams would go Bangalore to study the blast incidents to ascertain whether there were any links between the twin-blasts triggered by the alleged Harkat Ul Jihadi Islami (HUJI) in the city on August 25 last year, Mr Reddy said adding that the Investigating agency got some clues in connection with the twin-blasts, as the probe was in progress.
