Air India Express to operate all women crew on July 27
Chennai, July 25 (UNI) Air India Express will operate with an all women crew flight to Singapore on July 27 with Capt Ms Chameli Krottapalli in command of the cockpit.
Capt Krottapalli has become the first lady commander of Air India Express, the international budget carrier of Air India. The all women crew flight was in recognition of her achievement, an Air India release said here.
The flight 'IX-662/661' will operate on the Chennai-Singapore- Chennai sector. The flight will leave Chennai at 1425 hrs and arrive in Singapore at 2100 hrs (local time). The return flight will leave Singapore at 2210 hrs (local time) and arrive here at 2330 hrs, it said.
Capt Krottapalli joined Air India Express in November 2004.
The other crew members of the flight are Capt Ms Amrit Namdhari, co-pilot and cabin crew Ms S Banu, Ms P Bhutia, Ms S Divya and Ms Binal Valand.
The airline has a total of 76 pilots, of which six are women, the release said.
