Ten ministers in Karnataka Govt facing criminal charges
Bangalore, Jul 24 (UNI) As many ten ministers in the Karnataka Government headed by Chief Minister, B S Yeddyurappa, were facing criminal charges for various offences, including attempt to murder, rioting and violating election code of conduct.
In a written reply submitted to the Karantaka Legislative Council here today, Home Minister V S Acharya said while charge-sheets had been filed against eight ministers, investigations were carried out against two others.
The ministers facing criminal charges, were Sriramulu (Health), G Janardhana Reddy (Tourism), Murugesh Nirani (Industry), K S Eswarappa (Power), H Halappa (Civil Supplies), Krishnaiah Setty (Housing), D Sudhakar (Social Welfare), Anand Vasanth Asnotikar (Fishery) and K Shivanagouda Naik (Small Savings).
Janata Dal(United) JD(U) member Mallana Gouda urged the Government to provide information on the ministers, who were facing criminal charges.
