Aurangabad. Maharashtra July 24 (UNI) Police registered a case against an office-bearer of the minority cell of the People's Republican Party last night for allegedly serving a bogus appointment letter to a woman cop.
A woman police constable, Lata Damodhar Dehade, working in the office of commissioner of police, received a fake appointment letter as police sub-inspector (PSI) from the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC).
The police administration was surprised to fine the letter from MPSC and launched investigation into the matter.
During investigation, it was found that the minority cell president of People's Republican Party, Syed Taufiq had served this bogus appointment order to the woman constable and MPSC had not issued any such letter.
A case was registered with the Begumpura Police Station against Taufiq, who was reported to be absconding.
