Chandigarh, Jul 24 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said the state government was committed to provide quality education to the youth and to achieve this avowed aim, the budget of Education Department had been increased two to three times over the last three years.
The Chief Minister, who was addressing the students and faculty members of Sainik School, Kunjpura on the occasion of '48th Founder's Day Function' of the school today, said a Defence University, an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and a Central University would also be set up in the State.
He said a Women University had already been set up at village Khanpur Kalan in Sonepat district which is the first Women University in the North India.
A university of Health Sciences had also been set up at Pt B D Sharma PGIMS, Rohtak. Besides, Rajiv Gandhi Education City was being set up at Kundli near Delhi to facilitate the setting up of world class educational and research institutions in the state.
