BJP to hold demonstration on use of money in trust vote
Lucknow, Jul 24(UNI) The Uttar Pradesh unit of BJP has launched three -day long state-wide protest against alleged use of money to purchase MPs by the UPA government during the Confidence Vote in the Lok Sabha.
The agitation would be held in all district headquarters, starting tomorrow and would end in the State Capital on July 27, State BJP vice-president and spokesperson Hridya Narain Dikshit said here.
The Lucknow demonstration would be led by party president Rampati Ram Tripathi, legislature party leader Om Prakash Singh and senior leader Lalji Tandon, he said.
During the demonstration, BJP activists would apprise the people about the illegal methods adopted by the Congress-led UPA government to win the trust vote, Mr Dikshit said.
Meanwhile, several BSP leaders today joined the BJP which included former MLA Jagdish Prasad Mishra alias Balti Baba and several block pramukhs and zila panchayat members.
