Bangalore, July 24 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Monsoon was weak over Coastal Karnataka.

Rainfall occurred at many places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over Interior Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall amounts (cm): Agumbe 10, Sedam 7 cm.

Other Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Shahapur, Bhagamandala 6 each, Kollur, Siddapura (Udupi), Dabaka, Turuvegere 5 each, Belthangadi, Kota, Karkala, Indi, Gulbarga, Jewargi, Nalwar, Linganamakki, Sringeri, T.Narsipura 4 each, Bantwal, Mani Dharmasthala, Kundapur, Gerusoppa, Afzalpur, Chittapur, Shorapur, Bidar, Bhalki, Humnabad, Virajpet, Kottigehara, Koppa N.R.Pura, Thondebhavi 3 each, Mangalore, Mulki, Panambur, Bajpe, Udupi, Bhatkal, Siddapura (Uttara Kannada), Mundagod, Kushtagi, Alland, Sindhanur, Kudathini, Basavakalyan, Napoklu, Madapura, Humchadakatte, Mudigere, Jayapura, Lakkavalli Tarikere, Sidlaghatta, Tiptur, Madhugiri, Kudathini 2 each.

Forecast valid until Saturday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at many places over Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to rather heavy rain likely to occur at most places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and over Kodagu, Chikmagalur, Shimoga and Hassan districts of South Interior Karnataka. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at many places over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka and remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall Warning: Heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places over the State during next 48 hours.

Local forecast: Generally cloudy. One or two spells of rain/thundershowers likely.
