5 of family killed, 28 injured in Kashmir blast, identified

Srinagar, Jul 24 (UNI) Five members of a family hailing from Bihar were killed and 28 injured in a blast in Kashmir today.

A police spokesman identified the deceased as Rubina, wife of Mohammad Afroze residents of Bihar and her four children Adil, Qayoom, Ajoob, and Khushboo.

The injured have been idenfied as Ram Krishan Yadav, S/o Methan, Vaid Prakash Pandith, S/o Rajman, Rajesh Tiwari, S/o Subajeet, Chander Sheikher, S/o Ram Nath, Rama Shanker, S/o Bhawan all residents of Utter Pradesh, Attar Singh, S/o Puran Singh, Tulsi Bhai, W/o Naresh Singh; Hemraj Bhai, W/o Attar Singh, Chahooba, W/o Maan Singh, Maan Singh, S/o Luki Ram; Ram Rattan, S/o Gnpat Singh, Muni Bhai, W/o Lala Ram; Yasu Devi, W/o Maan Singh; Amrita Bhai, W/o Attar Singh, Suresh, S/o Nanu Ram; Suraj Prakash, S/o Raj Prakash; Kailash Narayarin, S/o Jinpal Narayan, Ravi Chowdry, S/o Chaberbuz; Bhawan, S/o Nunu Ram all the residents of M P, Shanti Yadav, S/o Kailash Narayan; Muni Bhai Sayoo, S/o Lala Ram both the resident of Bhopal, Mohammad Hemayoon Ansari, S/o Ahmad-Ullah; Charak Nath, S/o Bhoot Nath both the resident of Bengal, Rezwan Mansoori, S/o Zainul-Din; Irfan Ahmad, S/o Mohammad Maqbool both the residents of Nepal, Mohammad Yousuf Shah, S/o Gh Ahmad, R/o Lawaypora; Younis Ahmad Kaloo, S/o Manzoor Ahmad, R/o Abiguzar Srinagar and Altaf Ahmad, S/o Ali Mohd, R/o Kupwara.

The injured have been shifted to the various hospitals for treatment. Senior police officers rushed to the spot and started conducting search operations.

Batmaloo Bus Stand is not frequented by tourists.
