Kohima, Jul 23 (UNI) Nagaland unit of BJP today lambasted state's lone Lok Sabha member W Wangyuh Konyak of Nagaland peoples Front (NPF) accusing him of being bought by the Congress party to vote in favour of the confidence motion yesterday.

In a release Nagaland BJP Parliamentary party leader and Forest, Environment, Ecology, Wild Life and Excise Minister M C Konyak has appreciated the NPF leaders for taking the decision earlier, to let its MP Wangyuh vote against the motion but alleged that despite clear directives from his party, which was given wide publicity in the local and national media, the MP was lured and bribed by the Congress to vote for the UPA.

"Mr Wangyuh had promissed to vote against the motion to the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha L K Advani,BJP President Rajnath Singh and leaders of the Left Parties but the interference of the Congress and its policy of luring the MPs to vote for the UPA made Wangyuh a victim of the most negative means of horse trading and corruption in Indian politics, he alleged.

He further alleged that the members of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee and the CLP leader Chingwang Konyak connived and purchased Wangyuh to vote in favour of the confidence motion.

He described the decision of Mr Wangyuh as a political blunder and betrayal not only to the NPF, but also to the entire Naga people.
