INLD seeks UPA govt's resignation
Chandigarh, Jul 23 (UNI) The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) today asked the UPA government to resign in the wake the allegations of bribery to secure victory in the Confidence Vote.
INLD Secretary General and Member of Parliament Ajay Singh Chautala alleged that dubious and questionable tactics adopted by the UPA during the last ten days had put the entire country to shame.
He said the 'cash for abstaining' episode had exposed the ''behind the scene game'' of UPA to win the trust motion in Parliament.
The alleged offer of Rs three crore each to BJP MPs for abstaining was a key to understand the mystery behind the abstaining and cross voting by many opposition MPs, he added.
The INLD MP has asked for a thorough enquiry into the entire episode.
The UPA government might have won the trust motion in Parliament but had lost the trust of the people of the country.
''UPA has lost all the moral right to continue in government,'' he added.
