Shillong, Jul 23 (UNI) The Federation of Khasi, Jaintia and Garo People (FKJGP) has demanded the Meghalaya government to intervene immediately into the alleged mismanagement of the Institute of Chartered and Financial Analysts (ICFAI) University here.
In a letter to the state Higher and Technical Education Director yesterday, the FKJGP requested the state government to intervene in the functioning of the ICFAI and threatened to shut it down forcefully if it did not abide by the rules and regulations.
The federation alleged that ICFAI authorities were not providing jobs to local unemployed youth in all categories of posts and also not following other procedures of the state.
The FKJGP, in the letter, also alleged that the ICFAI was not recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the fate of its students was uncertain.
The institute was also denying employment to the state's qualified youth and employing incompetent people, appointed through improper channels, the FKJGP alleged.
