New Delhi, Jul 23: The Left, BSP and UNPA are holding an important breakfast meeting at the residence of UP Chief Minister Mayawati here on Wednesday, July 23 to take stock of the situation in the wake of the UPA government winning the trust vote last night. These parties have alleged that the government used foul tactics to muster the required number to sail through.
Ms Mayawati, addressing a press conference just after the voting on Tuesday, July 22, said the NDA and the UPA had conspired to stop her rise. In the run up to the trust vote Ms Mayawati's name had been floated by the Left for Prime Ministership in case the Manmohan Singh Government fell, which had been endorsed by the parties in the UNPA and other regional parties.
BSP sources said in the meeting the leaders will discuss their future strategy in regard to the UPA and the BJP.
In the trust vote which happened on Tuesday, July 22 night the government had secured 275 votes as against 256 in the opposition and ten abstentions.
