20-year-old youth killed, four injured in accident

Moga, Jul 23 (UNI) A 20-year-old student was killed and four others were injured when the car they were travelling in collided head-on with a truck on Moga-Jalandhar Road near Lohara Chowk.

All the youths were going to Shakot in Jalandhar to appear in an examination for Industrial Training Institute when their car collided head-on with a truck, which was loaded with stone crusher.

Jagdeep Singh, a resident of Bughipura village, who was driving the car, died on the spot while four other students identified as Nandeep Singh, Palwinder singh, Lavpreet Singh and Gursewak Singh sustained injuries.

The injured were rushed to Moga Civil Hospital from where Palwinder, who was seriously injured, was referred to Ludhiana hospital.
