Lord Hanuman swung his club to defeat our opponents: Lalu

New Delhi, July 22 (UNI) Calling it a victory of democracy, Railway Minister Lalu Prasad tonight said Lord Hanuman swung his 'gada' (club) to vanquish the Opposition during UPA's trust vote in the Lok Sabha.

''Today being a Tuesday, I asked Lord Hanuman to give us 275 votes, and he swung his gada on our opponents,'' Mr Prasad told reporters after coming out of the House.

On some BJP MPs bringing in currency notes into the House claiming it to be bribe money, he said the incident had exposed the ''NDA mandi''.

He said action would be taken against these MPs, and they would be sent to jail if found guilty.

Lok Jantantrik Party chief Ram Vilas Paswan said the BJP had been exposed in trying to malign the UPA Government.
