Amar trashes bribe charges, says it is attack on Sonia
New Delhi, Jul 22 (UNI) Samajwadi Party General Secretary Amar Singh today trashed the allegations of BJP MP Ashok Argal that he was offered a bribe of Rs 1 crore for voting in favour of the Government's trust motion which will be put to vote later in the evening.
The BJP MPs have named political adviser to Ms Sonia Gandhi, Mr Ahmed Patel, as the man behind the bribe offer, which was just a brazen attempt to malign her, he said.
''They should give the proof as the wads of notes they have produced do not have any names written on it,'' he demanded.
'' In fact, they should have handed over the person who had brought money to the police immediately,'' he said.
''The moot question is that why these persons came to my house.
Why they allowed the money to be delivered to them. In fact they would go to jail for doing all this, ''said the SP leader.
