18 killed in separate incidents in UP
Lucknow, July 22 (UNI) At least 18 people were killed and 10 others grievously injured in rain-related and other incidents in Uttar Pradesh in the last 24 hours.
In Barabanki, six people succumbed and four injured in rain triggered incidents. In Safdarganj area, three people, including a girl, were killed after their house collapsed late last night, whereas a women was buried alive in the debries of a house in Deva area and a couple died after a wall collapsed on them in Jahangirabad area, however, four were injured in similar incidents.
In Aligarh, a student came under the wheels of a train in Daud Khan railway station, whereas a boy got electrocuted in Ferozabad today.
In Bahraich, three children drowned after their boat capsized in a overflowing nallah in Hardi area, whereas two people electrocuted after coming under a live wire in Bhimapura and Sikandarapura area of Ballia last evening.
In Mirzapur, two were crushed to death and six sustained serious injuries in Jeep-tractor collission in Chunar area last night.
In Sultanpur, two were buried alive in the debries of their house in Pipri village, whereas one Arvind (27) succumbed when a wall came upon him following the heavy downpour in Kotwali area late last night.
