Workshop for students of 'Talent Search Test' held

Chennai, July 21 (UNI) A one-day workshop for the top 3,600 students of the Talent Search Test, jointly conducted by the AIMS Education and the Hindu Education Plus and sponsored by the SRM University was held here today.

AIMS Education Director Geetha said the theme of the workshop was learning through a new dimension.

The workshop, spread over two sessions, saw 1,800 students each attending in the morning and afternoon.

She said about 91,000 students (Class eight to 12) from 165 schools in the city participated in the Talent Search Test, which comprised one single question paper, covering subjects on General Knowledge, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

The tests, sponsored by the SRM University, were held in their respective schools and prizes were given to top four finishers in Class eight to 12.

The prizes and gift hampers were presented to the winners at an impressive function presided over by SRM University Vice-Chancellor P Sathyanarayanan and Anna University Vice-Chancellor Mannar Jawahar in the presence of The Hindu Sports Editor Nirmal Sekhar.

After the prize distribution, the top 3,600 students, who took the talent search test, were called for the workshop held at Kamaraj Arangam in the city.
