PM moves confidence motion; Govt is in ICU: Advani

New Delhi, Jul 21: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh moved the confidence motion in Parliament on Monday, July 21. Congress led UPA government which is seeking the trust vote is confident of winning, but is pinning on few MPs abstenation. Opposition leader L K Advani is the first person to speak against Confidence motion. He said, "I am opposing the motion moved by Prime Minister. The present government is a minority. To me it appears as Govt is paralysed. Government is talking more of N-deal than of Inflation. He also said the govt is destabilised thats why it is seeking Confidence motion.

Rahul Gandhi is one of the UPA leaders to speak in support of the motion. Advani described UPA government is like a patient in ICU. He said that if the govt is destabilised and is seeking confidence motion it shows it is on its way out. He also questioned the government for not giving adequate clarification on not showing the IAEA draft to Parliament. If other countries can see IAEA draft, why not our parliament? asked Advani.

He said to the Parliament, that NDA wants to defeat the government on the floor of the House not to destabilise it.
