Pak national among 4 held with heroin
Amritsar, Jul 21 (UNI) Four drug smugglers, including a Pakistani national, were arrested with seven kg heroin near Kathunangal village in the district today.
The special narcotic cell of Punjab Police on a tip-off intercepted two cars in which the smugglers were carrying the contraband. Police arrested the four smugglers identified as Muneer Ahmmed, Narender Singh, Sarbjeet Singh and Ranbir Singh.
On interrogation Muneer, who is from Lahore, disclosed that the heroin was smuggled from Pakistan through riverine belt in the border areas of Ferozpur.
All the four accused were booked under the NDPS Act.
