Naval helicopters recover bodies of drowned youths
Panaji, Jul 21 (UNI) Braving inclement weather, the search and rescue mission helicopters of the Indian Navy today recovered bodies of two students, belonging to a Navi Mumbai-based medical college, who drowned at Calangute beach on July 19 here in Goa.
Their earlier attempt at recovering the bodies yesterday, failed due to bad weather, naval authorities said.
The two victims were among the seven students, who had come to Goa on a picnic. The mishap occurred, when all of them went for a swim in the swirling waters of the sea.
The five others, however, swam to safety.
While one of the deceased was from Ahmedabad, the other was from Jaipur, according to police.
