Four drowned in Kashmir
Srinagar Jul 21 (UNI) Four people, including two minors, drowned in separate incidents in Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said today.
They said an 18-year-old Abid Ahmad Kharadi drowned in the river Jehlum near Ashie Kocha Fateh Kadal in the Shar-e-Khas when he was washing his face.
His body was recovered at a distance and later handed over to his relatives.
Two children Zaman Farooq (8) and Shaid Yaseen (10), residents of Babpora Habakadal in the old city here drowned in the river Lidder at Yenad Park in Anantnag, the sources said.
Both the children were on picnic with their families.
An unidentified body of a male was fished out from the river Sindh at Wayil Bridge in Ganderbal.
